Cabbage Chicken Soup Diet

The Cabbage Chicken Soup diet presents its weight loss goal by strictly lowering the number of calories that are consumed. It’s basically a modification of the popular Cabbage Soup Diet plus it offers an extraordinary diet regime to those who need more diversity in their meals. This diet makes it simpler for users to stick to the plan all the way to the end.

Here’s the Recipe:

The cabbage chicken soup is prepared by slicing a head of cabbage in shreds, two, big green peppers, 1/2 pound of green beans, four stalks of chopped celery, a 16oz can of your favorite tomatoes, five carrots, two onions, two cups of vegetable juice, and two cups of chicken broth. Now you need to sauté the onions in a pan (you can use oil in a spray can for this). Then just mix all of your ingredients above and heat to simmer. You may add any of your choice of spices and herbs that will tickle your taste buds. Then just continue to boil this concoction until it’s completely cooked.

The Diet Plan:

A cabbage chicken soup diet will have awesome results but you need to follow the procedures and make sure to consume as much soup as you want for the next period of seven days.

It’s best to stay away from eating bread and consuming sugary and alcoholic drinks, like sodas. Just try to drink lots of water as this not only helps the diet but is essential for your health anyway.

Breakfast Day 1:

Combine one cup of non-fat yogurt vanilla flavor with half a cup of mixed fruit salad. You can also put wheat germ on top.

Breakfast Day 2:

Combine half a teaspoon of sugar together with one cup of ricotta cheese and a sprinkle cinnamon. Plus two slices wheat-grain slices of toast and three small dried figs.

Breakfast Day 3:

One and a half cups of whole cereal, half cup of orange juice, if possible choose calcium enriched and half cup of non-fat dairy milk.

Breakfast Day 4:

One small whole-meal bagel with an ounce melted cheddar cheese low fat, and half cup of prune juice.

Breakfast Day 5:

One and half cup of cooked wheat cereal and one-half cup of non-fat dairy milk.

For day six and seven, you may choose any breakfast from the list above. You may have any one of these breakfast dishes each day and, for other meals, consume as much of the cabbage chicken soup as you want. You can also incorporate bananas and skimmed milk on day four. On the fifth day, you may also add 10-20 oz of chicken to your diet plan.

Again, it’s not advisable to go beyond seven days with this cabbage soup diet. This is a diet program of losing weight for only five to seven days.

Special Concerns:

Because of the low carbohydrates consumed in the cabbage chicken soup diet, blood sugar levels can be low and there can be side effects like hypoglycemia. Symptoms will include sweating, headache, drowsiness, anxiety and irritability. Just in case this happens to you, have a sandwich with whole-grain bread, a piece of ham and a piece of low fat cheese but stay away from using margarine and butter. If you still feel other symptoms, immediately consult your doctor.
